A historic moment for Eau Claire Athletics, the first ever Eau Claire Ladies Wrestling Team made their debut this weekend! They immediately earned a reputation for being tough and relentless. Madelyne Baker led the way with a sharp 3–1 record, earning three dominant wins by pin. Nickya Fort pushed through three tight battles, setting the tone for the team's effort and attitude. Her grit shows she's one to watch in the future. Anna Garcia-Tenorio stepped into one of the toughest weight classes of the entire tournament for her career debut. She met the challenge head on and gained experience that will pay off quickly. Chastelyn Cortez also began her varsity career with a full day on the mat, finishing 3–3 and picking up a few decisive pins on the way. These ladies represented Eau Claire by encouraging each other and embracing what it means to build something from the ground up. A memorable beginning for a team that’s only going to get stronger.
