Huge showing by Eau Claire Women’s Wrestling at Sunday’s tournament! 💥🤼‍♀️ Nickya Fort dominated the mat with two pins and a technical fall. An absolute bully all weekend and a force no one wanted to see across the circle. Ana Garcia-Tenorio picked up a big win by pin, showing composure and power when it mattered most. Ydali Castillo delivered one of the moments of the day with an incredible come-from-behind pin, refusing to quit and turning the match in her favor. Chastelyn Cortez wrestled with grit and toughness, battling through every position and gaining valuable experience against strong competition. Her effort set the tone for the team. And leading the way, Madelyn Baker was flawless on the day. Taking 1st place, never surrendering a single point, and finishing every match by pin. Absolute dominance. As a team, these ladies placed 11th out of 33 teams, finishing ahead of many larger rosters and more importantly, they were the loudest, most supportive team in the building, cheering each other on every step of the way. Proud of this group’s heart, toughness, and unity. The future is bright.
