Eau Claire wrestling took to the mats in a variety of greater Berrien County area competitions this weekend. Nickya Fort suffered a tough first round loss but battled all the way back to third place. That's choosing to fight instead of fold. A great way to pick up her first career medal! Valentino Alvarado also showed winning is no accident, grabbing his 2nd podium finish on the season. Jacob Daniel and Ydali Castillo competed against tough opponents and continued to show improvement. Casen Plummer grinded out a tough 1-0 win on the weekend. On the varsity side, seniors Ulysses Perez-Martinez and Giovanni Alvarado went 1-2 and 2-2 on the weekend in a stacked tournament. Proud of how this team represented the Eau Claire community this weekend!
