This past Friday the track and field went to regionals at Gobles. Our boys and girls ran amazing; on the boys side Elijah Marlowe won the 100 and 200 in the 200 he broke the school record (from 1988) with a time of 22.04. A'darion Fort finished 4th in the 100 and 2nd in the 200, qualifying for state in both events. Devin Hill finished 6th in 100 and 3rd in 200, Devin qualified for state in the 200. Melvin Davis took 1st in 400 breaking his own school record with a 50.11. DQ Travis took 2nd in 400 qualifying for state. Aidyn Dohm took 3rd in the high jump. In the discus Mickey Clark also took 3rd and Rylan Fisher took 8th. Korey Roseburgh took 5th in the 110 high hurdles. Our boys relay teams took first in 4x100 and 4x200; Hill, Davis, Fort and Marlowe. The 4x400 relay team also took 1st, that team is made up of Travis, Jamal Roseburgh, Dohm, and Davis. On girls Mila Jeffries took 6th in the 100. The 4x100 took 4th and in the 4x200 took 5th, the teams were made up of Chastelyn Cortez, Nickya Fort, Kamari Williams and Jeffries. This season was a great season for our girls. Every one of them got faster great job girls. For our boys the season continues in two weeks at the state championship. We will be working them hard in hopes of bringing home some hardware.
